Fall Semester

• Learn about the teaching profession and the rights and responsibilities of students and teachers
• Experience hands-on presentations and simulations and participate in 25 hours of classroom practicum
• Create and share unique teaching plans and participate in field trips, a cultural fair and classroom debate and discussions

Spring Semester

• Learn about core concepts and approaches to multicultural education including diversity based on culture, language, race, class, gender, sexual identity and disability
• Develop knowledge of culturally and linguistically responsive classroom strategies
• Participate in activities with speakers, videos and simulations on a variety of topics
