Middle School

    • 6th - 8th grade Elevate Middle School students engage with teachers each day.
    • Courses operate on synchronous models that best support the student. 
    • Students enroll in English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
    • Health, PhyEd and additional electives are offered based on requirements of the home district. 
    • 8th grade students are offered world language courses in an asynchronous learning environment. 
    • Teachers discuss elective options with students during first week of classes.

Student Expectations

  • Students will:

    • Engage in virtual courses, should participate in class discussions, and respond timely to instructions of the teacher
    • Submit work based on due dates
    • Expect some homework assignments -- tasks to complete outside of regular classroom hours

    • All Middle School students will use Brightspace for homework and to attend live courses.
    • 8th grade students will work in Edmentum for asynchronous electives as staff monitors them and provides feedback on work assignments.

Attendance and Course Completion

    • Students are expected to attend every scheduled school day and teachers will take attendance
    • Parents/guardians must report excused absences 
    • Students must complete course requirements to receive grades, credit, and completion
