SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 is one of four intermediate districts in Minnesota. Collectively, intermediate districts offer more than 120 specialized educational programs and services, serving more than 20,000 students annually. These are often specialized services that member districts find difficult or too costly to provide on a smaller scale. Sharing staff and resources is a cost-effective way for member districts to provide highly specialized educational programs for students and families.
